We have been experimenting with Thinking Racing and some interesting data has emerged which may be worth taking a look at if you are interested in Trifectas.
Of the winners that Thinking Racing selects, on average 34% of them are from the First selection, 13% from the Second, 19% from the Third, 15% from the Fourth and 19% from the Fifth. The chart below shows how this looks on a graph.

Obviously, if you were simply placing a bet on the first choice, on average you would win about 34% of the time. However, if you take the peaks, Choices 1, 3 and 5 and place a $6 Boxed Trifecta on them, you may be surprised to see the returns that are possible.
From our experience, you will not get lots of Trifectas but in financial terms the strategy appears to pay. For instance on Saturday/Sunday the 9th and 10th of February 2008:
- There were about 129 races that Thinking Racing made selections for
- Using the 1, 3, 5 method, Thinking Racing successfully selected 6 Trifectas
- The total outlay for the 2 days in $6.00 Trifectas was $774.00
- The total return was $1,607.00
Don't rush out and start spending your hard earned money on this approach, experiment with the software over several race days and draw your own conclusions. Remember, you do not have to spend a cent to experiment with past races and results.
Good Luck and happy punting
